The melody first appeared as Good Morning to All, a classroom greeting in Song Stories for the Kindergarten (Chicago, 1893), credited to Louisville educators Mildred J. Hill (d. 1916) and Patty Smith Hill (d. 1946). Birthday words were printed with it by 1912. In 2015 a US federal judge ruled Warner/Chappell's copyright claim invalid, and in 2016 the court declared the song public domain. EU protection ended on 1 January 2017. Wikipedia's score is in G major, 3/4.
The melody is in the public domain (first published 1893). MR Maker made this accompaniment from a public-domain score. It contains no lyrics, translations or third-party recordings.
