Freezing the final backing-track version before a performance

After rehearsal, separate the accepted backing track from experiments. A final-version handoff gives the performer and playback operator a shared reference instead of several similarly named candidates.

What to check

  • Use a distinct final filename with the arrangement and key noted.
  • Keep rejected candidates outside the performance folder.
  • Confirm that the operator has tested the same file from beginning to end.

How to use the result

A later change to the source, separation or key creates a new version that needs another check. Keep the previous accepted file available while evaluating the replacement rather than silently overwriting it.
